Our Puppy Playground Philosophy

We follow a puppy-first philosophy at the Kim’s K-9 Puppy Playground! We follow canine psychology and puppy development milestones to make sure your pup is learning and growing! This looks like:

  • Providing private rest time
  • Supervising play to encourage safe play practices
  • Handling puppies for safe human socialization

When your pup is with us, they’re like one of our own. We give them all the attention, training, and TLC that you’d give them at home, with the added experience and training of a puppy professional.

Puppy Safety Promise

All Pups in our program will have age-appropriate vaccines, and will be kept entirely separate from adult dogs to prevent cross-contamination. Vaccines include:

  • 2 rounds of Distemper/Parvo (DHPP)
  • Bordatella (kennel cough)
  • Fecal check (free of parasites)

Safe Puppy Socialization

A common problem facing puppy parents is socialization! Young dogs should not be exposed to fully vaccinated dogs as older dogs can carry diseases that are dangerous to puppies building up their vaccines. Big dogs can also be unpredictable or over-excitable, so their size can pose a danger to the little guys. But if you don’t socialize your puppy to both people and dogs during this critical time, they may be dog-aggressive or too anxious to play later in life. To safely socialize your puppy, you need:

  • A clean, well-maintained area
  • Play partners who are getting vaccinated
  • Constant supervision
  • Intervention to create safe play
  • Rest time with private space for each pup
  • Ideally, someone to maintain training!

Most families can’t find a way to hit all of those points! Especially if both puppy parents are working, so they can’t let Fido Jr. out to pee every two hours.

Puppy Playground is your answer! Send your little puppy our way and we’ll provide a supervised, safe play space with appropriately vaccinated friends. We will also ensure puppies have private rest space, and that they don’t over-exhaust themselves. Our specially trained staff will maintain important puppy training, like pottying outside, basic commands, and bite inhibition.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my puppy be fed?

We'll follow your puppy's usual routine. Routine is SO important for puppies! That's why we enforce puppy training, and provide food as usual during their stay. We ask that you bring their food in a sealed, hard container, and let us know how much and how often your puppy is eating!

How often can we visit?

Your subscription includes an unlimited number of visits during the month or several months you've purchased. You can drop your puppy off as often as three times per week when the playground is open. Playground drop-off is between 7-8am, and pick-up is between 3:30-5:30pm.

See Your Pup at Play!

One thing all puppy parents have in common is concern. We worry that our puppy won’t be safe, or that they’ll pick up bad habits we’ll be stuck correcting for years and years. We worry that they might get sick, get into a scuffle, or just feel anxious and sad without us! These are all valid fears. With our Puppy Playground, we ensure personalized, transparent care for every puppy. To ensure you feel confident, we send daily photo/video updates daily to let you know how your puppy is doing!
