Bringing Wags, Woofs, and Laughs to Grand Rapids for 35 years (and counting)

Kim's K-9 has a family atmosphere for customers AND staff that stems from our strong core values - DIGNITY, INTEGRITY, and GROWTH.
We pride ourselves on building and maintaining a culture of welcoming support for our clients and staff alike.

We are ALWAYS looking for people who match our values to join our caring team - people who are independent thinkers, who have a love for learning, and a heart to help dogs and to help other people. We treat our clients and their pets like family, and that supportive atmosphere extends to our staff as well.
Current Roles at Kim's K-9:
Kim's K-9 has been supporting the dog-loving community of West Michigan for over three decades - join us and be a part of something bigger than yourself!
CURRENTLY HIRING: Kennel Techs
We collect applications through our Wizehire link. Applications submitted elsewhere may not be considered. Use the "apply" links on this page to reach our hiring portal. Our team will be in touch!
At this time we are not hiring dog trainers. All of our dog trainers need to start as staff members, so they understand our training philosophy and values. We typically promote from within, and recommend starting your career with Kim's K-9 as a staff member or kennel tech!
For kennel techs and office staff, interviewing at Kim's K-9 is a multi-step process. We will review your resume personally, and if it's a good fit, we'll bring you in for an in-person interview. If the team wants to move forward, we'll bring you in for a job shadowing day so you can see what life is like inside the kennel. After your trial day, if the team feels you are a good fit AND you enjoyed your day on the job, we'll set you up with an official Kim's K-9 shirt and get you working!
Just like dog ownership, taking care of other people's pets requires responsible cleanup. Working in the kennel involves keeping things sanitary across the board, to keep our people and pets safe. We scoop all kinds of things, poop included! Ask your interviewer the weirdest thing they've seen come out of a dog! The answer may surprise you.
